Now on the CBn main page...
New pic of Anatole Taubman as Elvis from www.jamesbond-fr.com. He looks wired and dangerous... A very good nemesis, indeed.

What's he doing on my plane?
And what's with the dodgy haircut? At least he doesn't look as bland as that blond dude in TND. ![]() ![]() |

Looks like Elvis is going to be a bit of a comedic character.

There's nothing comedic about that look and this casting. This is - once again - testamony to the canny future Bond has on screen. Even in this casting alone. He is spot on. The fringe is merely a deliberate distraction. You watch. This is one nasty

There's nothing comedic about that look Yes there is. He looks cheesier than a Dairylea Triangle. But - with all due respect - have you read the script, been on set all day and helped to direct that actor in that part? NONE of us have a clue what his role or narrative involvement is, so can we all stop firing "no" missives from our DVD clad armchairs... some people are so bloody protective of a creative process (ie. making a film) that they have never had any involvement in that such easy dismissal of this photo in this context quite baffles me. I'm not directing this one at you solely Royal Dalton by any stretch, but can we all wait until we see the film please. |

Fair enough, but if nothing else, this film is full of worse crimes against hair than Sean Connery's entire toupee collection.

But - with all due respect - have you read the script, been on set all day and helped to direct that actor in that part? Obviously not. But I am entitled to my opinion. And my opinion is that he looks cheesy. Probably, deliberately so. NONE of us have a clue what his role or narrative involvement is, so can we all stop firing "no" missives from our DVD clad armchairs... I'm not quite sure what you're talking about with this firing "no" missives business, since I never said there was anything wrong with him being a comedic character (if, indeed, he is). some people are so bloody protective of a creative process (ie. making a film) that they have never had any involvement in that such easy dismissal of this photo in this context quite baffles me. I'm not directing this one at you solely Royal Dalton by any stretch, but can we all wait until we see the film please. Well, I'm glad you're weren't directing that solely at me, since I haven't said anything negative about it yet. But, in return, I would ask you not to be so quick to assume that some people on here haven't had any involvement in film production. Because you may well turn out to be wrong in that assumption. |

BIG apologies Royal Dalton. Seriously. I have got far too used to too many armchair creatives firing "no" missives from the top of their DVD piles round these shores. Granted, it' snot everyone and its certainly not you by any stretch, but I think he looks creepily cool. To come up with a new villain and his cohorts is increasinly difficult and this one has a new air of freshness about him. |
