Note that these are just the scenes filmed in Panama. He could be around for quite a bit more of the production.

I'm most interested by the further comments about Mark Forster. He seems absolutely fantastic and amazingly conscientious in doing such detailed research that he knows about the acting styles of the individual actors. Some may say that we should expect this, but I'm sure that not every director will put in such background work.

The more we hear about QoS the more it sounds to me like a regular Bond film that Pierce could have easily fitted into

I notice now that there's more and more remarks disparaging Martin Campbell that are coming from the actors...

I notice now that there's more and more remarks disparaging Martin Campbell that are coming from the actors... I don't think they're disparaging; they're just pointing out that the styles of Campbell and Forster are quite different, with Campbell more action-oriented and Forster more drama-oriented. Nothing out of line or false there, in my view. |

The plot outline of 'Bond gets this information and goes here.. goes there.. finds that so and so..etc" sounds just like any of Pierce's films.
Casino Royale seemed like it got away from much of the formulaic nature of the other Bond's and I was hoping it would surprise us further. Dominic Greene appears to be coming off as a mish mash of Elliot Carver and Gustav Graves, as for the Bond girls Gemma does seem a bit young for the role, and the Camille character being "Bonds equal" was getting old 10 years ago. The claims of "Double the action" usually suggets the film is being padded out with action due to lack of a story, which would make sense given that a writers strike hit the film. Sorry everyone, I don't mean to sound like such a whiny fanboy, really, i am looking forward to this film.. I just want the best film possible. Please go easy on me. *ducks* This post has been edited by craigbegins: 7 March 2008 - 01:26 |

I didn't see anything disparaging in that statement. They were just comparing two different directors. That was quick. I look forward to seeing his scenes. I hope he doesn't die in the film (judging by a few screenshots of Bond holding him in his arms.) But if he does, I hope it is dramatic and worthy of the character.
