Birthday Celebrations For Daniel Craig In Panama James Bond actor will turn 40 on 2 March So Daniel Craig has held a party for his fortieth birthday (and not his thirty-seventh as the article erroneously states...) I suppose this is largely a tabloid type piece of news, but at least it confirms that production in QUANTUM OF SOLACE has now shifted to Colon! The original article is in Spanish and from La Estrella de Panama. British actor Daniel Craig, who stars as the famous spy James Bond, last night [26th February] held a celebration in advance of his thirty-seventh birthday [sic], in the province of Colon, the location where he is currently filming the newest movie of the most famous British secret agent. Craig chose the Melia Panama Canal hotel to celebrate his birthday together with about 300 guests including actors, directors and the technical team who are filming in Panama with the actor. All were dressed appropriately for the party. The production of the new James Bond movie moved last week from the Atlantic province of Colon where they are shooting scenes for the film "Quantum of Solace". The actor was born on March 2, 1968 in Chester, England and is the sixth and latest actor to play the role of James Bond in the official adaptations.

	He will indeed be 40 at the weekend. I made a brief correction of their error in the opening paragraph. Also noticed that the error lies in their mathematics skills seeing as they state his correct date of birth at the bottom of the article.

	I love how they give his birth date but still can't work out that he's 40 Happy Birthday Daniel! Hope you find your Quantum of Solace in the new year.

	Another stupid story in The Sun discussing Craig wearing a lifejacket can be found here. Slightly more interesting (although probably large fabricated) is the fact that apparently... Cast and crew of the new Bond film had planned to kidnap Craig as a birthday surprise. They wanted to bundle him into a car, then a boat and take him to a secret location. Film chiefs vetoed the plan over "health and safety" fears and Craig had to make do with a black tie party at a hotel.
