Finally, going back to what works best. No CGI bullet, no coming at the start of the credits, and hopefully it looks more like the regular one, with the normal number of spirals (or whatever they're called). One thing that I think will be cool to do that would break from tradition, have the music start off about 20 seconds early on top of the Columbia logo, building up to the big familiar notes of the Bond theme as Bond comes across.
But as much as I like to see the tradition coming back (wow! I just thought- if it's back to normal, it'll be the first in 9 years!), I kinda wouldn't mind opening the film with no gun barrell is sight, just having a blank screen with the last lines of CR over top. But, I guess my idea is probably a bit stupid if you think about it. ![]() Daniel Craig is Bond! And Bond is better than ever for it!

Yesss! Traditional is good...sometimes. In this case definitely. But they could still make it in the tiniest detail different from all the others.

While I was curious to see if they'd try to do something along the lines of the CR gunbarrel, I'm happy with this news. But Woah! Did anyone else catch Wilson's comment about Winehouse? First Craig saying, 'If Amy is clean then, it’s hers' now Wilson with, ‘She could do a wonderful job. We’ll have to wait and see if she can do it.’ I think with commments like that it's safe to say Winehouse as the title singer is far more than rumor and the powers that be have been giving her serious consideration.

Ahh.. Great news!! While I wouldn't mind them at all using the same design of the gun barrel that was in Casino Royale, I'm happy they'll go back to the traditional one at the proper place in the film.. pre- pretitles..

This seems a strange question... but what sort of blood would everyone prefer to see? The traditional form, or the thicker, more viscous design as seen in CASINO ROYALE?

I hated the blood in CR. I hope they go back to the traditional style, as Wilson said, but keep the gunbarrel that they last used.

I hope this is true. I'd love to see Daniel Craig do the traditional gunbarrel, I think he'd be really cool. And it looks like Amy Winehouse is first choice for the song (at present). ![]() --DaveBond21--

I'm glad they're having a traditional gunbarrel, but I hope they keep the new design and blood in Casino Royale. It would set the Craig films apart from the previous films just like the CGI gunbarrel set Brosnan's films apart from the previous films. To complain about the blood in Casino Royale being unrealistic is ridiculous, the gunbarrel has never looked remotely realistic.

Good news on all fronts, if true. The CR gun barrel was a fun departure, but I much prefer the traditional version. It'll be interesting to see Craig do it.
And I hope they're able to talk Winehouse into doing the title song. She has a strong voice--shades of Lulu and Shirley Bassey--and I like the naughty persona. At the very least, she can't conceivably do worse than the last two singers (with apologies to Madonna and Cornell fans... ![]() |

The Casino Royale gun barrel was crap. Here's what I want to see:

Wilson probably talks about having the gunbarrel at the beginning. That's all. They won't use the old design he never mention this.

Good.
Now, keep the exact same gunbarrel design and blood drip. Just add the white dots and dramatic music. There's your traditional introduction with a touch of realism. ![]() |
