Awesome!! I've really been enjoying these Titan strips. The only problem is I'm way behind, so I really gotta catch up.

I always like when another of these is announced, as it renews my hope that eventually there will be a complete set!...

I always like when another of these is announced, as it renews my hope that eventually there will be a complete set!... Same here! For some odd reason, I jump with joy at the thought of being closer to owning the complete James Bond comic strip saga. ![]() "The art of making a Bond movie is to do exactly the same thing- only to do it differently." --Christopher Wood

My assumption is that Polestar and the final four stories after that (Flittermouse, The Scent Of Danger, Snake Goddess and Double Eagle) will likely make up this November '08 collection and one after that.
I'm also hoping we do get those six stories they've skipped over eventually. Likely two further collections for those--three stories each. ![]() |

Amazon lists the book as being 120 pages long. That's enough space to include all five stories at 4 per page (a total of 413 strips). I had already done some calculations on this and the reason they probably didn`t include Flittermouse in the Paradise book was that it'd have made this volume too short.
Scent of Danger is the longer story on the book but I'm glad they went for Polestar as the title. Question that remains is, what is the current status on the two skipped volumes? Titan briefly announced Nightbird after Phoenix Project to have it replaced by Deathwing so that one might be closer to completion. |

I'm hoping for collection called The Girl Machine. Love that title as well.

I have the feeling they postponed Nightbird because they could only find the truncated UK version of Ape of Diamonds and want to locate the syndicated European version completed by Neville Colvin. Anyway, with two more volumes to go every five months, 2009 should see the collection finished. It's clear that a, Titan intends to keep publishing them as long as sales are enough and b, there's a core of fans set on buying the whole lot. The only problem is c, availability of original sources. Does anyone here know anybody at Titan who knows? I'd love to know what's in store after November.

I'm hoping for collection called The Girl Machine. Love that title as well. It is a cool title. Funnily enough, it's the first strip where Bond travels to a fictitious country (some Arab emirate) and it started serializing at the same time as LALD's release, the first film where Bond visits a fictitious country. After Trouble Spot they went straight into Phoenix Project without ever mentioning Girl Machine. Does anyone know the plots to the new stories? Dr Cat from River of Death is supposed to return in Flittermouse. |
