El Universal, a mexican online newspaper, reveals today that the Bond production team will travel on March to Machu Picchu, in Cusco (Peru) to shot some scenes for 'Quantum of Solace' involving the Incan Citadel of Machu Picchu. About 250 extras will be needed to shot thoses scenes that may not involve Daniel Craig, as Iguana Producciones (which helps with the Peruan shooting) has declined to confirm this fact on the official statement made by themselves yesterday in Lima (Peru). ![]() The Incan Citadel of Machu Picchu This post has been edited by [dark]: 7 February 2008 - 20:12 ![]() << 007 SPAIN >>

That's a great location - which hasn't been used before. Not exactly impossible to reach, but still hardly as easy as a lot of other similar places in the world (e.g. Pyramids of Giza or Venice etc.).

Immortalized (film history wise, that is) in the opening scene of Werner Herzog's Aguirre. Great location, and I suppose Craig is a lot easier to work with than Klaus Kinski.

It's the Stonehenge of South America. I always thought Bond should go there. Didn't ever think it'd happen. I never thought whatever historical landmark protection laws that exist would allow it.
If this is true, it's kind of a daydream come true for me. Very cool! ![]() ![]() |

Absolutely outstanding. I never dreamt that a Bond movie would one day film here. It's one of the places in the world that everyone should try to see before they die. I would love to go there myself, and I am intrigued about how they will use the location.

The real challenge will be filming around the few thousand tourists that are brought in there every day..
