Good pick up, I didn't catch that tibit. Interesting.

Also, "Here's a detail for Bond gadget obsessives: when M wants privacy she can touch a button and the glass wall that separates their offices frosts over. Not as impressive as an invisible car - nor as ridiculous."

Interesting. So the curved staircase was in MI6 headquarters. I like the sound of the sets (plus the previous reference to a bit of the Ken Adams touch). Can't say one way or the other about the Tanner character... the've never really done anything interesting with him. He's meant to be quite friendly with Bond (but I didn't get that feeling in any of the Brosnan films).

Yeah- just the way they had Bond call him 'Tanner' rather than 'Bill' (as he did in the books) made that a bit off.

I'm all for a new Tanner, though. It'd be rather nice to see Bond actually be friendly with someone.

Will we see them playing golf or having lunch together? Ah, the excitement of a 'rebooted' Bond! wink.gif

Cool, my first thread to get linked from the news section smile.gif

This is great news. Im glad that neither Q or Moneypenny are returning, but with their absense its good to have some of the other smaller roles filled with familiar characters.

Im intrigued my M's office...

I think there is a lot more of interest in that report than the bit about Tanner being played by Rory Kinnear.

The stuff about the sets and Wilson’s description of the two action sequences is far more interesting. (there are significant spoilers here it should be pointed out)

Excellent news. As I've said before the reboot and Craig's take on 007 gives us the chance to see his friendship with Bill Tanner grow.

Also glad to see no Q or Moneypenny. Re-reading some of Fleming's novels (Dr No at the moment) reminds how unimportant they were in the books. Tanner is far more used.

That's cool that they are brining Tanner back. I always thought he was underused in the first films. I guess he is Villiers replacement. I wonder if maybe they will kinda roll Q and Moneypenny into this new Tanner? The article says he is M's assistant, so maybe in addition to that he'll give Bond some gadgets?

Ah, so this is why Villers isn't returning. I really like the idea of having Tanner back (although I wouldn't have minded it Villers returned), and hopefully his character is developed throughout further films.
