I noticed that there is a Bond double bill (LLD and TSWLM) on this sunday 27th Jan at the Astor theatre in St Kilda. Great to see them on the very big screen!

I've been before, but I didn't go to this one.

I might have if it had been LALD/TMWTGG instead of LALD/TSWLM. That feels like a better double bill to me. Consecutive films, both early-mid 70's, same low keen tone (unlike TSWLMs bigger, more epic nature), same younger, more hard-edged Moore Bond (instead of the Moore playing Moore playing Bond of TSWLM). LALD as Bond goes blacksplotation and TMWTGG as Bond goes kung-fu (sort of), they just go together better. It just feels right.

Actually that would make a great double feature, the weakest film in the series followed by the best one made post-1970. Hope the Aussie fans enjoy.
