Interesting that he lives in Carlisle, in the North of England, where Octopussy scriptwriter George MacDonald Fraser (who died this week) was born.

He seems like a really nice guy, and a heck of a devoted worker if he's missing his daughter's sixth birthday for it. If all or even most of Bond 22's employees are of his caliber, this movie is in safe hands.

He is a really nice guy. I went to Cumbria College of Art & Design (as it was then), just as he was leaving. As I recall, he was landlord to mate of mine on the same course as me, which, is also the same course Mally did. There was also a bloke who ran the college theatre who was a stuntman on Octopussy. And the fella that directed Dog Soldiers and The Descent also lives in Carlisle. He was friends with my flatmate and her boyfriend and some of my mates and I were extras in his short film, which was included on the Dog Soldiers DVD in the UK. It's a small world...
