Very nice. They did a similar event last year although it ran on Sundays. Glad to see they mixed the movies up from last year & added a few Roger movies this time. Seeing On Her Majesty’s Secret Service on the big screen will be a nice treat. biggrin.gif

I'd love to go see that; it'd be wonderful to see OHMSS on the big screen. biggrin.gif

Was it just Sean Connery previously?

Yep. From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, and Never Say Never Again

I should be back on Spring Break for Live and Let Die. Seeing On Her Majesty’s Secret Service would have been amazing. frown.gif

Outside of seeing the Liberty Bell & getting a cheesesteak, this would be the # 3 reason to make the trip to Philly. wink.gif Let me know if you do decide to make the trip. I'm planning on seeing all four of these movies. cool.gif

Barring unforeseen circumstances I ought to be there for Live and Let Die. I'll be at school in Atlanta for all of the other showings.

Cool, John. We'll have to coordinate as the date gets closer so we can say hello in-person.

Seems like a bit of a long shot, but I'll definitely let you know if I can swing it.

I checked out the Dr. No screening this afternoon. It was a similar set-up as last year. Various Bond music & title songs were playing as you came into the theater. A person from the theater gave a little introduction prior to the movie along with the requisite Bond trivia - this was the first Bond movie, it was the first of three Bond movies that Terrence Young directed, the James Bond Theme was written by Monty Norman & John Barry did the orchestration, etc. The movie print itself was showing it's age with dirt, specks, & hairs. The colors were also very faded. The blue sky in Jamaica was a nice overcast shade of grey. It really makes you appreciate the color correction that was done for the Ultimate Editions. When the movie ended, the audience gave a nice round of applause & everyone exited the theater to Paul McCartney & Wings playing Live & Let Die.

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service is on the schedule for next weekend which I am really looking forward to seeing. If anyone else is planning on going, drop me a PM. smile.gif
