I'm not sure about every song performed by either Jones or Bassey, but Jones surely could have done a few more. Jones is the man!

This is a fantastic interview. I also hugely recommend Don Black's biography, Wrestling With Elephants, I tried it earlier this year and found it to be one of the best I've ever read. Thoroughly interesting and entertaining.

Fans may not love all every single one of his Bond lyrics, but he often nails it (Diamonds Are Forever and Surrender).

I like Don Black well enough, although I believe TMWTGG tune is pretty indefensible. But, to quote John Barry, "what the bloody hell do I know?" As for Diamonds, Black told a story on a DVD audio track that it's Steven Spielberg's favorite Bond song.

"That's a splendid name for it. It's certainly impressive enough.
Quantum of Solace -- the amount of comfort."

Who knows? Maybe he will. He's been with the series on and off for four decades so far. tongue.gif

Yes there is, I just didn't cover it in the article.

Give it a listen--there are loads of Bond bits.
