Based upon Casino Royale, I'd say great news.

But the cynic in me questions:

1) How will DC look in four more films time, say 10 years minimum? If EON allow Bond and his abilities to age with him, fine. Otherwise, we could end up with plenty of soft focus stuff as per later Roger and Brozz in DAD and more employment for stuntmen...

2) Can Craig being the actor he is really hold his interest in James Bond for a further 10 years or so? I do hope so, but I couldn't guarantee it.

Parachute clauses, anyone?

This is the best.

Absolutely thrilled with this news.

Craig is one of, if not the best 007's we have had. Would be foolish for him to go early.

As much as I like him as James Bond, I think that he is making a big mistake. I suspect that eventually, he'll grow tired of the movies . . . and that it will show. And the stories will decline in quality. He should do two or three more Bond movies and get the hell out.

Lordy.

Not wishing to be a rotten old poo ears, but I understand (I may be wrong, but this is what I understand) that Mr Dalton signed for three so even if he has signed for a multitude, will it mean he makes a multitude?

I apologise for that being a really crummy observation amidst all this joy and wish him well, largely because he can now afford to have me shot.

Great news! EON know what they've got, and are doing the right thing.

I'm already looking forward to Bond 25 as the DAF/AVTAK bloated out-of-shape bad comedy finale of the Craig era biggrin.gif

Great News. 5 films from Craig total? That's awesome, IMO. I always thought he'd hold the role for a decade. If they stay on the 2 year schedule, I suppose he'll be wrapped in 2016. That'll make him.. what 48 or so. Not bad.

Good news. I've always felt that five Bondfilms must be optimal for an actor and perhaps this time we get it.

Bond 21 - 2006
Bond 22 - 2008
Bond 23 - 2010
Bond 24 - 2012
Bond 25 - 2014

So Craig will be around 46 years for his last Bondfilm.

Nah, it'll be 2014 if they stay on the 2-year schedule (2008, 2010, 2012, 2014).

Really great news.

Wow, this is awesome news. I have a feeling that they may do to Bond 23 and 24, what they did with Pirates of The Carribean and shoot both movies in one go.

Of course that would mean the same director two times in a row, if this happens, it better be a good director.

Well Done To Daniel Craig, and woo-hoo to Bond Fans!

Nice to hear- even if the studio don't make that many it's good to hear that he's commited himself to staying.

Is this absolutely definite? Just a passing mention in that article doesn't make it seem too rock solid, although obviously the source is pretty good! smile.gif
