This is cool news. Too bad Panama will double, but the place is beautiful anyway! TPOAL as the title...I seriously wonder how true this is? I hope, but I wonder if there is some truth to this considering it pops up in many places.

Well, I'm not 100% sure about this one. I'd really like any proof as rumours like these are always there possibly to attract tourists (it's funny also 'cause they spell Craig's name as 'Creig')

I'll try to translate the article for those who don't know spanish, 'cause they also talk about the possible title of the film:

The new James Bond, agent 007, film will be shot in Panama. So far the production team has chosen several locations, and our coasts are one of them.

'Deniel Creig' (lol) will play again James Bond on the 22º film based on the spy. This sequel will begin where 'Casino Royale' ended. And it may be called "The property of a Lady".

Production will begin on December aiming to premiere November 7th 2008. This information of course, first here, in Telemetro Reporta (por su puesto is wrong, it should be 'por supuesto'...).

----

Hope this helps, although I don't really trust it.

Spies and Spyette's (rather proud of that term), I have a theory, but, well, it all adds up.

To a point.

Bond 22 WILL be titled: "Property of a Lady"

Vesper's necklace. The Algerian love knot.

She stops wearing it "because it was time" in CR, yet, check your DVD, it's NOT amongst her effects that Bond is ready to toss (beyond her phone) at the end.

What happend to it? It was her "property".

Also, with this location news, you can presume that if MGW and BB have agreed to filming, they would/could have given the government and their filming department a title.

OK, I'm just sayin', but think about it.

Right now, I'll bet the Jaguar's title on it.

I think we have the title of Bond 22.

Possibly. The title fits with continuity and sounds rather good.

People have been saying the same thing since November. And quite frankly, a blurb in a Panamanian newspaper which doesn't even get Daniel Craig's name right isn't exactly a reliable source. Personally I don't expect to get the title until shooting is underway. (Now watch as they announce it tonight...!)

If it is 'The Property of a Lady' I should think we'll have it officially confirmed sooner rather than later. When the first new cast members are announced, or whatever.

I will be disappointed if Panama is chosen as a location for filming, either in its own right or doubling for elsewhere. It doesn't exactly scream out "exotic location", "scenic natural beauty" or "culturally rich".

If chosen for financial reasons, i hope the cheapness doesn't show up in the film.

There are many way better Central / South American locations.

The reason why the producers have avoided using the title The Property of a Lady for all these years is a good one and it hasn’t changed now. The reason is, it’s an all right title for a short story (and no more than all right) but it’s a terrible, yes a terrible title for a James Bond film.

I do hope they haven’t been stupid enough to use it now in a lamentable attempt to use a genuine Fleming title regardless of how hard they have to scrape the bottom of the barrel.

I have to agree, 'Property Of A Lady' is a terrible title for a Bond movie. I very much hope that isnt the title.

Filming in Panama would only be a maximum of a month I imagine. Production is certainly going to be centred at Pinewood, so filming in Panama would certainly not be due to budgetary reasons.

If not for budgetary reasons, then why Panama? Refer to my above post - Panama has nothing.

If true, this is a huge mistake.

It is a good title. But it seems better for a Merchant Ivory production than a James Bond film.
