Austrian media reports 'Bond 22' production crew have visited further locations in and around Bregenz

The town of Feldkirch now under consideration

Austrian local newspapers are reporting that 3 days ago another location scout from EON has visited the area around Lake Constance ("Bodensee").
Besides the famous "Tosca" floating stage the location scout now visited the city center of Bregenz and other (small) cities in the surrounding area, "The Bregenzer Kunsthaus" in Bregenz, industrial facilities and some places with "modern architecture" in the region around Bregenz. On German river side he reportedly went to Airport Friedrichshafen, in the south of Germany, near Lake Constance. The location-decision is expected to be made in November 2007.

Best regards from Vienna!

That Kunsthaus place looks striking and would definitely look good in a Bond film. Why can I picture Daniel Craig throwing someone off the top of it?

Because it's inevitable. biggrin.gif

A great location. I really like the sound of all the places Bond 22 could be set, so far.

This thread appeared on the front page as 'More location scouting in Aust...' and I was thinking "I bet that's Austria, not Australia!"

Why did I have to be right!?

I'm liking what we've heard about these Austrian locations so far.

Lovely jubly!

This new film is shaping up very nicely. I'm feeling very pro Sony today - just wish there were some more confirmations of the hints we've been given over the last few months.

Well... I will watch with baited breath.

Interesting, very interesting.

Different from all the Italian locations, those Austrian and Swiss locations all have modern architecture of a similar style, and there also seems to be a need for a concert venue: the Opera House and the Floating Stage in Bregenz as well as the Kunsthaus. And Lucerne in Switzerland has the Kunst- und Kulturzentrum, which also serves as a concert hall:

The Friedrichshafen airport, now that one sounds very interesting. Friedrichshafen is the home of Zeppelin. The old Graf Zeppelin built his first airships here, and the new Zeppelin company is also located here http://www.zeppelin-nt.de/index_e.htm.

This is, of course, pure speculation but maybe worth a thought.

~Mr. Stromberg is a very busy man. Blame Daniel Craig for it.~

Well we must get some actual location news before December, so let's hope it is sooner rather than later.
