Great news. I love all the Bond ski chases. I hope the news is true. I would have preferred some mountain climbing action as i'm sick of these ski chases. How much differently can this one be done? If skiing is included i hope its shown as a leisure type activity in a very brief scene that captures the majesty of the Alps. ![]() |

I'd love a brutal ski chase, followed by Bond giving 2 henchman a real going over in the snow, right on the edge of a cliff.

Just as long as we get to see Craig standing in front of a projection screen, wearing a yellow ski suit, I'll be happy.

Great news. TWINE's ski chase was rather dull so I don't consider this new skiing stuff to be overkill/saturation(betrayals, corrupt MI6 agents are a different story). It looks like this new Bond film will have a larger than life travelogue escapist feeling to the likes we haven't seen since the Roger Moore films: Italy, the Swiss Alps,South America...

And that is my type of Bond film... I would like to see some grand vistas again...the type of shots that make you wanna run to your travel agent afterwards. And a speaking of Moore-ish films, I think it's high time for a ballad type song, ah la FYEO. |

. And a speaking of Moore-ish films, I think it's high time for a ballad type song, ah la FYEO. No thanks, all of Pierce's songs have tried to emulate past Bond songs. Just like Cornell's YKMN was a bit different for a Bond song, I want something equally different for Bond 22, a bit Linkin Park perhaps? ![]() |

OK, here's something to ponder.
If this new film is going to continue in the vein of CR, and if it is, technically, the second film in a "new Bond series," and if it will be set partially in the Alps, will there be some sort of considerable mention of Bond's parents? There was a mention of it -- a rather edgy one, if I remember -- in CR. And also one in GE. But there's never been any kind of portrayal of how they died. (I posited a theory on their deaths in my short story "The Life After This One." Please feel free to check it out yourself. ;-) ) Were there any other mentions of his parents in the movies, besides those two? DO you think it's possible the Alps setting might indicate a willingness to at least let him reflect on the memory? ![]() ![]() "Uh, I am not here." |
