Producers looking for "a Latina actress in her late twenties, preferably with South American roots"

This very well could be legit. These "casting notices" have proven to be a good source for scoops in the past. Check this out.

Lead "Bond 22" Babe to be ¡Muy Caliente!
By EdwardHavens

September 14th, 2007

We may not yet know the title of the next James Bond movie, and we may not know what the story is about, but we now at least have an idea of who the next Bond Babe will be... even if her character might not have a name yet.

According to casting notices sent out this morning, producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are looking for a Latina actress in her late twenties, preferably with South American roots. Despite their plea that prospective talent not be worried about fitting the traditional Bond Girl look, since this is the "new" Bond series, she must be quite beautiful, able to handle what promises to be a physically demanding role, fluent in English and, last but most certainly not least, a great actress.

The next Bond film will begin filming in the United Kingdom and across Europe and South America under the direction of Marc Foster this coming January, with a six month production anticipated.

Sounds great.

It's not 007s first trip to the continent. I remember one Bond in Rio, for example, in 1979 (along with other examples).

So now let the nominations begin.....

Cote De Pablo - chilean born actress.(yes the dark haired ex-Mossad agent on NCIS)

Just my 2 cents.

"Who the hell do they think they are? I report to the Prime Minister and even he's smart enough not to ask me what we do. Have you ever seen such a bunch of self-righteous, azz-covering prigs? They don't care what we do; they care what we get photographed doing. And how the hell could Bond be so stupid? I give him double-O status and he celebrates by shooting up an embassy. Is the man deranged? And where the hell is he? In the old days if an agent did something that embarrassing he'd have a good sense to defect. Christ, I miss the Cold War." - M

Mia Maestro. I'm not really sure if she has the acting chops, though. I liked her in Alias. Then again, she was also in Poseidon.

The neat thing about Joe Cocker and Steve Miller is that they both
start with J, except Steve Miller.

Location-wise, it definitely seems that this Bond film is going to be everywhere.

This sounds like a pretty credible report too.
