And you know that's a real quote from Pierce because it nearly, but not quite, makes sense!
Perhaps he meant that "He's been recognised as the greatest ever, and deservedly so." Bless him. |

Another Bond actor claiming another Bond to be better than Connery? Would of been unthinkable before.
Craig has made his stamp. ![]() |

Good for you for being so noble, Pierce.
But aren't we all a bid fed up of the ex-Bond's going over the top about Craig? Can't we just once have, say, Tim Dalton coming out with, "Well, he was okay. Made a serious attempt at interpeting the character. But I thought I nailed Fleming far more accurately in Licence to Kill and I actually LOOKED like the character Fleming wrote about. That's something Daniel will never achieve." Anybody heard George Lazenby's opinion, though? He's never slow to bash a fellow Bond. |

I wish I'd been there to show him how to relax in some scenes and make the audience laugh more." Seriously, though, you make a good point: Brosnan's comments - while appreciated and all very nice and everything - really say nothing at all, and do not even suggest that he has seen CASINO ROYALE. |

How will the wags at danielcraigisnotbond.com handle this though?
'Gorgeous Pierce drugged and forced at gunpoint to support Craig!' perhaps? |

What does he mean, “He’s the greatest ever and deservedly so”?
I’m the greatest. AND I deserve it. Thank heavens for that! It’s a relief to know I’m not the greatest and somehow cheated to get there. Otherwise, a nice little piece of peace from Pierce. ![]() ![]() |

I remember reading this quote from Pierce several months ago. Either he re-stated or the article is recycling an old quote.

How will the wags at danielcraigisnotbond.com handle this though? 'Gorgeous Pierce drugged and forced at gunpoint to support Craig!' perhaps? I swear I had forgotten all about that website until reading this post. Why do we continue to talk about them, mention them, etc...? As for Brosnan's comments...I think they're a load of steaming hot dog squeeze. He acted like a baby whose mommy had taken away his lollipop. He pitched a very public and huge temper tantrum for months on end, and now he wants to act all magnanimous and contrite? In social psychological terms, it's referred to as FALSE MODESTY. ![]() -----------------------------------------------------

So, what does he do if he actually likes Craig?? Perhaps, give him a compliment like this? This post has been edited by Mike00spy: 24 August 2007 - 16:06 ![]() |
