"Nothing's definite yet, but the chances are good."

Lucerne and the Gotthard area suggested by the Swiss Film Commission

Today's Swiss Newspapers report a quote from André Bric of Film Location Switzerland, that they offered the Swiss grown up director Marc Forster services. «Nothing's definitive yet, but the chances are good.»

I'm guessing the chances of a ski chase are strong, but I for one would prefer to see some sort of mountaineering or rock climbing sequence.

Especially if he was really fighting for his life...and DC could certainly pull it off.

"...And now that you have seen a really evil man, you will know how evil they can be and you will go after them to destroy them in order to protect yourself and the people you love. You won't wait to argue about it. You know what they look like now and what they can do to people. You may be a bit more choosy about the jobs you take on. You may want to be certain that the target really is black, but there are plenty of really black targets around. There's still plenty for you to do. And you'll do it." - Mathis in Casino Royale, Chapter 20: The Nature of Evil

OK, the Alps will certainly look fabulous on screen, and the sky scenes are part of Bond tradition... (for me the ones on OHMSS are the best, the way they were shot is magnificent)

...but aren't sky scenes a bit overused in Bond films? I guess climbing would be very good for a change, not to mention the connection climbing has in Bond's life.

I think we will get a tobogganing scene.

Methinks you made a typo. Sky scenes indeed.

Daniel Craig is a great 007

I hope not. I'm not that fond of rock climbing sequences.

I don't really see "confirmation" of anything much here. Some Swiss person basically saying they'd love to have a Bond movie shoot there. Wow, stop the presses! rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

This kind of thing just brings to mind the Croatian newspapers saying how Goran Vijnszq@1(((k was about to be announced as the new Bond.

It's the confirmation of the considering of a location, after all something.

I see it as a confirmation that FLS suggested locations to Eon.
