Bit of a shame for them. CR was actually a co-production with Czechia, wasn't it?

Not that Prague didn't do well enough with Casino Royale, but it's very good news to see the franchise is returning "home". tongue.gif Pinewood is classic!

Pinewood is probably pretty happy about that.

Back to Pinewood is good news indeed. Was there yesterday when
Peter Lamont announced he was NOT doing the next Bond film. He said that Dennis Gassner would be designing the Bond 22 production. Gassner won an Oscar in 1992 for Bugsy and is a stalwart of Cohen brothers films as well as coming off the Dan Craig-starrer, The Golden Compass.

Very interesting, ACE. Surprised this isn't a CBn main page item, or are we burying bad news? wink.gif Lamont is one of the key members of the "Bond family", with a longevity worthy of 007 himself, and it somehow seems sad that he won't be part of BOND 22, especially given his outstanding work on CASINO ROYALE (which was perhaps his best ever contribution to the series).

Any idea why he's not doing 22? Is he retiring? He's only a couple of years off 80. Hope all is well with him. I guess it's likely that we've seen the last of his work for Bond, but what an amazing body of work! Us fans owe him many thanks, Colonel Moon.

As for this new fella - never heard of him, but a quick visit to the IMDb reassures me that he's evidently a seasoned pro who's lent his talents to many notable films. Welcome! Welcome to, er, Bond, Mr Gassner!
