“They certainly did not want to hire an 'action director'”, he said. “They pretty much knew what they wanted: a young and unconsumed 'drama director' with his own visions.” That's the key quote. Points to the direction of BOND 22 quite clearly. ![]() |

He also used the term 'actor's director' here (depends on which summary you get in the Swiss media by now. The interview itself isn't online - yet). ![]() ![]() ~Mr. Stromberg is a very busy man. Exciting news. James Bond has not visited the (Swiss) Alps since the 1960s.
Looking good. |

Exciting news. James Bond has not visited the (Swiss) Alps since the 1960s. Well if you dont count TND for the PS1. My friend, the Alps were not a location where Bond travels to in Tomorrow Never Dies. It was an area for the production/shoot which was doubling for the Khyber Pass/Frontier setting. James Bond has not been to the Alps as a character since '81 so from the point of view of romance and action the actual place seems promising for Bond 22. I quite like this idea, it would be a nice change from the tropical locations of Casino Royale. Although the snowy locations were sort of done to death in TWINE and DAD.

Yeah, but we don't know whether Bond we actually be travelling to the Swiss Alps in Bond 22 either. It could always be doubling for another location as well. |

No he will
QUOTE “There can’t be any better place than the alps”, Forster said. “No matter if you plan to do romantic scenes or hard action, the alps will be the perfect background for a Bond movie.”

True, but something makes me suspect that Craig will soon be taking skiing lessons in preparation for one helluva snow-based action sequence! |
