I assumed it would be early 08, so late 07 is news to me. Guess we should hear about a director pretty soon then, like within the next couple of weeks, if we're 5 or so months away from filming?

Still no word on a director? Sounds like they've made up their mind but they aren't going to fully announce it yet.

I'm with dinovelvet. I would have thought that January 2008 was a realistic starting month for filming. Late 2007 sounds early, not delayed as the article hints at.

Ah, Mr Bond, perhaps you would like to make love to my mistress before I have you killed? Muhhahhh....ha ha ha ha.......

That's what I was thinking as well. For a November 2008 release date, I was under the assumption that they were going to follow a production schedule that was more or less the same as the one for Casino Royale.

I just hope there isn't a drop in quality due to the shorter time frame between films.

I have a good feeling about this.

You like wild things don't you, Mr. Bond, James Bond?

Of course I hope that we will a director and the casting by tomorrow, but most likely I think we will have a director by July or August, and the rest of the casting list by the end of September, October and November, so they can start shooting in January and have it finished by the premiere in November 2008.biggrin.gif

As long as Daniel Craig IS James Bond 007, I'm satisfied. wink.gif

Probably (and hopefully) not. Even though there was the four year wait for Casino Royale, it was basically only that last year and a half that was really heavy on Casino Royale-related work.

Yes, you're right. And that short time span made me fear for the overall quality of the movie, along with Eva Green's casting already during principal photography.
But it all came together rather nicely (actually, very nicely wink.gif), so hopefully the shorter time won't affect Bond 22.

Second and third (and fourth unit in the case of Bond) can begin whenever...a month or two earlier than principal. Stunts and the like.

It's a normal occurence.

Par for the course as mentioned. No surprises.

Indeed. A bit of feeling rushed seems to be par for the course when it comes to Bond films. tongue.gif
