Looks like a new edition of SilveFin is going to be published in the UK in September (same time as Hurricane Gold).
New SilverFin in September Be sweet if it had new cover art. ![]() |

Very cool. I kind of expected it to be a hardback considering Hurricane Gold will be.
Still...hopefully that cover art will be something new. ![]() |

Very cool. I kind of expected it to be a hardback considering Hurricane Gold will be. That's what I thought when I first saw this. But it specifically says paperback, and if it were a hardcover, it would cost more than 6.99 (but all this could change as Amazon listings tend to do). It also crossed my mind that this might be the SilverFIn graphic novel. But not at 384 pages (exact length of the current SilverFin pb). My guess is it's simply a new edition of SilverFin meant to tie-in with Hurricane Gold somehow. I wonder what printing the current SilverFin is up to? It's gotta be high. I also wonder if we'll see a new edition of Blood Fever before too long? ![]() |

Be sweet if it had new cover art. It'd be kind of silly IMO if it were the same design otherwise why is Amazon holding this back as if it were "new" instead of just another printing. I'd actually bet on a Kev Walker cover a la the U.S. Blood Fever. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if this edition is followed by a re-release of Blood Fever featuring the U.S. cover and a re-release of Double or Die in a similar vein. Or maybe not. Perhaps Puffin is just trying to stir up sales and interest in the series with a fresh printing of the first book. That probably makes the most sense. ![]() ![]() |

You're right, K1. You'd think there would have to be something substantially different about this edition to warrant a new ISBN etc. Brisco over at my site mentioned the possibility of an adult edition. That would be awesome. I believe I did ask Charlie about the possibility of adult editions at some point and he didn't discount it.

What's an adult edition in this case though? And didn't you say this listing was the same page length as the previous paperback edition? That could be an easy error on Amazon's part, but also maybe not...

In any event, we'll have to keep watching this amazon page it seems. ![]() |

Time to dial down the excitement. Penguin tells me they are not exactly sure what this is and we "can safely ignore it for now." My best guess is this is simply SilverFin with a new ISBN number.
Oh well. It was a good ride while it lasted. ![]() |

This Amazon listing is now GONE.
Looks like my asking Penguin about it got it zapped. (But it's still on Waterstones and WHSmith.) ![]() |

Well, I do know what the original mystery listing was all about (but I can't share the info yet), but I have no idea what this new Amazon listing is that's, apparently, shipping. I'm tempted to buy it just to see what I get. I expect it's just the same paperback.
