2 Million Bonus for Daniel Craig due to 'Casino Royale' Success

Having helped to make Casino Royale the most successful James Bond film ever - grossing more than 300 million worldwide - Daniel Craig has just received a bonus of 2 million from its makers, Eon.

His three-picture deal with the company was not said to be especially generous. "It reflected the fact that he was an unknown quantity in the part," a pal of the 39-year-old actor tells me. "This is just to make sure he doesn't now start to feel hard done by."

On the front page it looks like it says 72 million bonus. Still, he's the money - every penny of it.

I thought that too. Well, at least then he definitely wouldn't feel hard done by!

This is good timing, as I hear Craig's down to his last 20 million.

He earned it. If there's anyone who ever deserved a bonus, it's him.

Cheers Mr. Craig.

So, first rounds are on you?

I can just hear Connery ringing up his lawyers to sue Eon for unpaid royalties after hearing this news. tongue.gif

Evidently - evidently - he was about to walk and "they" had to pay him to stay.

Evidently.

Probably.

Or perhaps not.

Wait until he asks for 20 million for Bond 24 - then we`ll see how generous EON are.
LOL.

Best

Andy

If I were him I might divvy it up among all the CraigNotBond admins and forum members and mail them each a check with a note saying, "You need this more than me. Best, Dan."

Either that or buy them all a copy of Casino Royale and attach a little note saying, "Go ahead. You know you want to. Nobody's gonna know. -Dan"

Sounds like a smart move from EON.

I couldn't agree more. Well I could but it's enough. Now, for the check.

You like wild things don't you, Mr. Bond, James Bond?

If he were to walk, they could sue him.

Craig is not A list rich...not even remotely and it's only been within the last year and change that he's been earning more than bread line. He could'nt afford to lose a law suit.

By the way, Jim, where did you ((probably) evidently) hear this (or perhaps not hear this)?
