Didn't know where to put this, but while I was attending KidsFest with my...well, kids, a familiar face caught my eye: a poster of the classic Connery Bond pose! A local theatre (Times Cinema) in Milwaukee, WI is holding BondFest on the evenings of 4/24 - 4/26, showing double features of the Connery 007 films. I, of course, bought an all-movie pass then and there.

Awesome news! I grew up right near Milwaukee and lived there for a long time before coming out West. I remember that theater playing FRWL when I was in high school, but never the complete set like this. Even here in LA I've had to do patchwork viewings to see all the SC's on the big screen. Time to spread the word to friends and family back home.
Seems that the "chronological order" is a bit of a misnomer though...  "One has to show a special talent that people here don't have." "That shouldn't be too difficult." |

Well, it sure was thrilling to see the Connery flicks on the big screen! Even as a hardcore Bond fan who has viewed the movies countless times, there were little nuances that I never caught on the small screen. Anyways, it was really cool and gave me a renewed interest in Seans version of the man (having grown up in the 70s, Im partial to Rog and Brosnan, but think they all have excellent Bondian qualities).
They even had a martini bar... Blofeld's barber
