The Empire awards have usually been a pretty decent sort of affair; shame they don't appear to be holding a ceremony this time around (if I read that correctly).
I'm pretty sure that Pierce Brosnan won their Best Actor award for TWINE in 1999. Might be wrong about that but I seem to remember it. ![]() ![]() "There was a violent cruelty, a pathological desire to wound, quite near the surface in the man." I'm pretty sure that Pierce Brosnan won their Best Actor award for TWINE in 1999. They should have given him the "Actor Most Crippled by his Co-Star and Script" award. Or had they not started to hand that award out until 2002? ![]() ![]() |

Or had they not started to hand that award out until 2002? Actually, that award was discontinued in 1988 after Michael Caine won it for Jaws:The Revenge, and the powers-that-be decided no one would ever top that one. ![]() |

Great news! I'm fairly certain Brosnan won for Tomorrow Never Dies as well.

From the article: The publication will hold its 2007 awards ceremony in November this year. I say we all show up. Yeah but I imagine that ceremony will cover films from this year... Sounds to me like they have skipped a year, which is a shame as, like Jim said, it's always a good ceremony, and the stars seem to always turn out for it. |
