Looks very bizarre...not sure if I'll be seeing this one.

I loved Eva Green's stuff about her character not being your usual witch, she's more maternal, she's an equal of the wizard in this one and she breaks his heart, or whatever it was.

I've never read these. I like fantasy (Tolkien and George RR Martin are among my favorites) if they are not to "Kiddiefied". I have heard of these, but not a lot. Are they worth a read?

Cant wait for the movie and Craig's Lord Asriel.
Shame they took the American title of " The Golden Compass" and not the original "Northern Lights". I hope it stays true to the book and series in general. I am re- reading the series at the moment. This post has been edited by sharpshooter: 18 May 2007 - 11:40  |
