The 007 thriller, which grossed $167 million in North American theaters, bumped reigning champ "Borat" to No. 3 spot on Nielsen VideoScan's First Alert sales chart and No. 2 on Home Media Magazine's video rental chart during the week ended March 18. Also new was "The Holiday," which bowed at No. 2 on the sales chart and No. 3 on the rental chart. "Casino," which stars Daniel Craig as the new 007, outsold "Holiday" by more than 3-to-1; in rental stores, "Casino" generated an estimated $9.2 million in revenue, compared with $8 million for "Holiday. "Casino" also made a big splash on Blu-ray its first week in stores, outselling its nearest competitor, "Departed," by 9-to-1. "Casino" is now the No. 2 Blu-ray seller since the format's inception in June. I would like to thank many of the boycotters who swore they would never see this film but were probably in Blockbuster or Netflix squealing "ME! ME! ME!" like Homer Simpson at an ice-cream cart.

The "Daniel Craig Is Not Bond" site is actually claiming that: "The casino Royal Boycott continues into the DVD release, the pay per view release and Video Rentals." ("casino Royal"? Why a capital "V" and a capital "R" for "video rentals"?) Presumably, the view of the Craig-haters is that America's number one DVD is actually a flop.

I think "that lot" is just doing it for laughs now. Would have to be the case. Their cause has been totally obliterated and proven wrong in every regard. It continues to with the DVD.

Whoever those sorry little
are, they'll claim victory when Daniel is no longer in the role.Say something long enough and you're bound to be (eventually) correct. Or something along that line. Funny thing is...I'm surprised people from here are even bothering visiting over there and quoting things from over there in here...kinda like transporting someone's from a home in the slums and displaying it in one of the bathrooms of a mansion.
