Although it may not be the most anxiously awaited line of figures from Sideshow, they have started shipping the first of the James Bond Legacy series. I received my Brosnan figure today.

A few thoughts: I did not dig out my DAD Brosnan figure to see if it was the same headsculpt, but I will assume it is for the sake of argument. The suit seems to be nicely made, although the collar/tie is a bit lacking in fit-and-finish. Accessories include a spare set of hands (who couldn't use an extra set?) and the usual pistol/vodka/martini glass setup.

The box is actually very tastefully done. There isn't a whole lot to it, but simplicity can equate to a bit of elegance. There is a cutout so you can see through the front flap to the poker chip. I am a bit disappointed in the poker chip -- not that it was going to be a highlight anyway -- but it looks cheap and plasticky.

Overall I would say I like it, and am glad I purchased it. I am a bit of a Sideshow Bond completist, though. If you only collect a few of them and only the ones you particularly like, you may want to pass on this one.[attachment=7852:Brosnan_box.jpg]

Here's a picture of the contents and the box:

Thanks for the pics, e.s. I've been curious as to what these "Legacy" boxes will look like. Nice.

Extra hands? That's kind of weird.

Very odd. I definitely don't remember them listing an extra pair of hands as one of the accessories.

The box seems simple, but pretty effective. Wonder if all the Legacy boxes will be in that exact design.

I've noticed Sideshow has included extra hands for other 12" figures, so they can hold different things. I haven't taken the figure out of the box to check, but I would guess they included the extra hands so he could hold the martini glass instead of the Walther or something.

I would also guess the boxes would be the same or very similar design, since Sideshow seems to be marketing these as a 'line within a line'. I am guessing the poker chip will be different for each figure, though, since they are emphasizing it with the front flap cutout.
