SilverFin has been released in Japan. Great cover art. Very easy to order from Amazon.co.jp. All around gloriousness.

Welcome to Japan, Young Bond-san

Silver Fin. Yes, I like. Something very Playboy Bond about the illustration.

It's somewhat reminiscent of the first edition art for Flemings Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Maybe that's why I instantly liked it so much.

I'm surprised it took Young Bond this long to be published in Japan. Even Russia and China have published the books (heck, Russia is already up to Blood Fever).

Hope to see a Japanese Blood Fever sooner than later.

You think? I thought it reminded me of the Adrian Mole covers!

Got my copy yesterday (2 day shipping from Japan!) and it's a very slick-looking Young Bond book. I think this is my new favorite. It's a paperback with a dustjacket, larger and thicker than the other Japanese Bond books I've seen. There's an illustration under the jacket on the front and back boards (which I will scan and add to my gallery eventually). Came with a little paper bookmark that says Young Bond. It also has its own built-in string-on-spine bookmark.

Shipping was twice the cost of the book. The total was about $38. But it may have been sent via priority shipping of some kind because, as I said, the book came in 2 days...from Japan! I was ordering blind so I really don't know if I had another, cheaper shipping choice.
