Just recived my Kiss Kiss Bang Bang issue 3, which I was very surprised about. Seeing that was December 2005 since we recived issue 2. I haven't had a good indepth look into it yet, but there is a hell of alot of stuff about CR. Plus many contributions by CBN Staff Members. Another thoroughly professional looking article.
I have not read it in depth yet, however the focus on Casino Royale is obviously welcome. It is not *quite* as good as the second edition, with its emphasis on the the literary side and Jeremy Duns' stellar investigation into Per Fine Ounce, however this edition is another fascinating insight into the world of OO7. Good stuff. ![]() ![]() "Critics rarely remark on how well written the James Bond stories are. I suppose that with a man as civilized and amusing as Mr Fleming, good writing is taken for granted." Got mine and devoured it. A very classy product. I'm perhaps a biased observer, having written for both the previous issues

Received mine.
Looks and reads great, and I'm proud to have contributed my share to it. The Wanstall material is outstanding. Great job ![]() ![]() ~Mr. Stromberg is a very busy man. Blame Daniel Craig for it.~ ------------------- Daniel Craig IS James Bond. ------------------- |

Got mine the other day. Very good, but it lacks the impact of the First Edition or the "wow" factor of the Jenkins stuff in the second.
By comparison, this edition is workmanlike, with nothing really new (sorry to all those involved): the Norman Wanstall stuff was fascinating but I'm not sure whether the subcriber who has waited nearly a year for it might just say "is that it?" It should be born in mind - and this is a gripe I cam to have with Graham's long gaps wit his mag - that many subscribers are investing in a product they are promised far more frequently than they are actually getting, and for many of the younger subscribers they are being asked to commit money well in advance they can barely afford. Finally, I've never been that keen on reviews that voice no strong opinion. Was the Art of 007 really that good - or a coffee table rip off? Any chance of the sort of review that compares Young Bond: one opinion saying it is perfectly in tune with Fleming's creation, and another suggesting Fleming wouldn't have recognised the character? But the round-up of the CR production nis spot on. Anyway, that my winge out of the way |

Got my copy yesterday - very impressed!
The mag has improved with each issue and this is no exception. The layout in particular is being progressively fine-tuned and becoming more professional. Whilst I enjoyed the literary focus of Issue 2 (and hope to see more of it in upcoming issues), the Casino Royale stuff in this issue was particularly good; especially the production overview and Screen International ads (the latter is particularly insightful to those who don't subscribe to such publications). I'm yet to read the interview with Norman Wanstall, but James Bond's first Oscar-winner is an inspired subject for such a feature. Very much looking forward to Issue 4! ![]() |

I got my issue and I love it! Kiss Kiss Bang Bang thoroughly covers every aspect of Bond perfectly.

Got my issue and loved it. While I do love the literary coverage (probably because it seems to get shafted on the whole compared to the films) that was definitely the focus of the second issue, as [dark] pointed out, this one was certainly enjoyable in its own way. The Casino Royale report was very indepth and will definitely make for a great read in the future because it creates a perfect timeline for the film's production.
This magazine definitely "works." The coverage is varied (Vue sur Bond, Ursula Andress, Aston Martins, etc...) and up to date (the product reviews). The Norman Wanstall interview is also quite, quite good. And very big. Highly recommended. ![]() |
