I was there.
Unfortunately, I haven't had time to post any comments or photos yet. I 'll try to do it asap, but i 'm buried with work lately. What I can say is, I 've never seen the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall so crowded. Miss Blackman looks absolutely stunning! Great night out! ![]() VERLEKIS FOR BOND

Better late than never...
I just got back from holidays (in Corfu, where I visited the Achileion- the Casino in FYEO- and the other locations of the film) and I can now give you a brief review of that night. As I 've said, the Philharmonic Hall was more packed than ever. As you 'll see in the photo, even the seats behind the orchestra, which are usually used by the choir, were full. I hadn't reserved a seat, because I didn't think I needed to, so when I arrived there weren't two seats together left, so I had to sit separately from my girlfriend. The night started, naturally with the Bond theme. They followed, more or less, the chronological sequence of the films. Between songs, miss Honor Blackman, who still looks gorgeous beyond belief, made some comments, introducing the next song. She revealed some stories, which are known to most of the hardcore fans, and joked a little bit. I found interesting the quick mention of 'an Australian cars' salesman' after 'you only live twice' and before 'diamonds are forever'. This was the only reference to OHMSS. There were two singers, a man and a woman. Unfortunately I don't know names. The woman was good, she sang all the songs in a way much different than the original version, which made it interesting to hear, and she avoided comparison. The guy was also good, but his performance was a little too operatic. Very interesting was the arrangement of 'You know my name' for a big orchestra. The audience seemed to enjoy very much. I could listen to people singing along, especially 'Live and let die' (which was natural, since we were in Liverpool). I enjoyed it very much as well, especially after the break, since my girlfriend had moved onto my lap and she sang in my ear. If that isn't a way to enjoy a James Bond concert, I don't know what is... When the concert finished, the audience's applause demanded a few more songs. I was very happy to hear 'Surrender', which I thought might be overlooked. 'The man with the golden gun' followed, if I can remember correctly. Another pleasant surprise was 'The look of love'. I thought they would only deal with EON films. After the concert was over, I spotted miss Blackman, the conductor Karl Davies and the singers having dinner in The London Carriage Works, one of the best restaurants in Liverpool, which is located just opposite the Philharmonic Hall. Just remembered: Miss Blackman introduced Danny as: And from Pierce, to piercing blue eyes...
