Personally after this, i think that DC stands a very good chance
of picking up the Bafta award next week for best actor.....not that we Brits are biased? |

With Casino Royale not nominated for a single Oscar, he'll need something like the BAFTA to compensate for it. ![]() "The art of making a Bond movie is to do exactly the same thing- only to do it differently." --Christopher Wood

this is a total triumph.
from being ridiculed by some as the worst bond ever to being the first actor ever to win an award of such respect for playing james bond. lesson to be learnt: dont care abt people who try and run u down just concentrate on your work and success is sure to follow. |

That's really cool! The Evening Standard awards are pretty trendy here in the UK.
I'd love to hear what he said in his speech (but I doubt TV cameras were there). Well done to Judi Dench too - her performance in Notes on a scandal has been so overshadowed by Helen Mirren this year. And United 93 winning as well - great awards! |

Fantastic news! Congratulations to Daniel, and hopefully this helps slightly to overcome the disappointment of the Oscars.
