Is $600 mil looking possible at this point? How much sweeter would all of this be if the film actually exceeded even the most optimistic predictions?

Is $600 mil looking possible at this point? How much sweeter would all of this be if the film actually exceeded even the most optimistic predictions? It's very possible. Given it pulled in about 20+ million this week, I'll bet it happens at some point, perhaps when China's figures finally get added in. Maybe I'm being optimistic, I don't know. If it crosses 600 million, however, it should become the 4th highest grossing Bond film with inflation adjusted (tied with Live and Let Die). Currently, depending on exchange rates and so forth, I'd say it's number 6, which is just shy of Moonraker at number 5. It'll definitely end with 5 or better (based on Sony's numbers). ![]() ![]() |

Un my opinion a box office inflation adjusted is not the first question: the first question is the price of the ticket, and so the number of perso0ns that had seen the film. However Casino Royale is far from better than all Brosnan's films, inflation adjusted. ![]() Myrddin - Daniel Craig is my favorite 007, a darker, more grittier James Bond, with unique style.

I was under the impression that inflation took into account the price of the ticket?

How many of us would have bet on such box office results? Based on my box office prediction game, only a few predicted Worldwide performance this strong... Care to name any names... That was actually a VERY optimistic prediction on my part, but I am absolutely thrilled to have it come true (actually, the real gross may have overtaken my estimate by now.. which would be amazing)! It really feels good to not only have a spectacular addition to the franchise, but to also have it so warmly received.. lets hope they keep in the same vein for the next film! ![]() |
