I only wish it beat DAD inflation adjusted too. Lately CR has been doing double the box office that DAD did for the same number of weeks. I think CR might just creep over 170million before leaving the theaters. For its entire run - opening weekend was the only time that DAD brought in more money than CR. ![]() ![]() |

I only wish it beat DAD inflation adjusted too. Casino Royale beat DAD in worldwide box office inflation adjusted! ![]() Myrddin - Daniel Craig is my favorite 007, a darker, more grittier James Bond, with unique style.

This should tie it with GoldenEye's reported admissions (by Sony). That's 24.7. Other sources say 24.45 either way, it's definitely beat it and should also beat The World Is Not Enough in week or so.

I only wish it beat DAD inflation adjusted too. The thing about adjusting for inflation is that you also have to adjust the production budget too, so if DAD earns, what is it, $180 mil in 2006 money, then you also have to say it cost $162 (or whatever) to make, so its adjusted total isn't all that impressive. Still, outside of Planet America, CR has earned $100 million more than DAD. |

Exactly........if you are going to inflate the boxoffice revenues, then you should also take into account applying the same rules to the budgets. 'K1' do Sony publish admission figures on the internet? |

Awesome! Can't wait to see what the final total ends up being. Probably not much more, as it only made $2 million this weekend and weekends are when movies make most of their money. That, plus the fact that CR is in its 9th week at the box office (not much more interest in seeing it besides repeat viewings by us fans) and the fact that it's only at 819 theaters, should put it at no more than $165 million (and that's being optimistic). Still, $162 million is very impressive. Unless the BAFTA voters at the Acedemy nominate it for Best Picture and Best Actor Oscars? ;-) |
