I think it's too much to ask for for him to get an oscar nom - I always thought the BAFTA would be the one. At least it shows they know who he is in Hollywood now!

I think he is in LA at the moment so he might show up at the Golden Globes as well.

As a presenter at least wink.gif - This means that the Oscar people (officially known as the Acadamy) recognises his work - does this mean he may be nominated for an Oscar himself? Well, the deadline for nominations is tomorrow, and we find out on the 23rd.

Well I would like to see him even get a nomination because if THAT happens, I know it's going to be raining Scotsman in kilts! eek.gif Seriously though, I do hope a nomination happens.

So I'll be looking up then... rolleyes.gif I think? LOL biggrin.gif

He may get one eventually, but not for playing Bond. The Academy would never go for that.

Remember when Connery presented for the first time? 1987. Remember who won best supporting actor?

Still, he won't get any Oscar for Bond.

Well said JCR. At least he is on the Academy's radar. A kind nod-and-wink if nothing else.

Great to hear that he's presenting. I'll be watching. thumbup.gif

Would also be nice if he gets nominated and ends up taking one home with him.

Well, let's not read too much into it - he just happens to be in town that weekend (for the Independent spirit awards which are the day before the Oscars)

Roger Moore was the co-presenter when Brando refused. It seems he kept the Oscar for a day!
