Now on the CBn main page...
Here it is http://www.sphe.nl/sony/media/thumbnails/184x260/5980.jpg This is the Holland sleeve, and it is said the french belgium version will be the same. We can guess the others regions will have about the same sleeve. They are usually standart worldwide, give or take a couple of logos. ![]() "MATT DAMON IS JASON BOURNE".

I give that one a solid "meh".
Far too much grey for my liking. ![]() ![]() "Nimsworth, your description of GoldenEye as Octopussy for the 90s is an insult to Octopussy AND the 90s!" |

I give that one a solid "meh". Far too much grey for my liking. Agreed. Although I think that it is the best variation on the final poster that we were given, I never did like any of the posters that were released after the teaser poster with Craig at the poker table. ![]() ![]() |

Hmm seems a bit bland. Will be interesting to see if the Ultimate Edition design is incorporated into the covers of the DVDs.

It seems a bit....randomn? I mean, the U.S. never saw that poster, so putting it on the U.S. DVD would be pointless. I doubt that's the cover art for the whole world. I think the U.S. will get a different one.

We can guess the others regions will have about the same sleeve. They are usually standard worldwide, give or take a couple of logos. No actually, that's not true at all. I don't know about Bond films, but just about every R1 and R2 DVD every made in the history of the universe has had different DVD cover art-- sometimes drastically different. ![]() myspace.com/bathrobe

I would have preferred had Casino Royale appeared in the background rather than in Vesper's shadow... The grey background bugs me, but otherwise it works. Let's hope they'll change it around if a special edition comes out! The best poster is the one w/Vesper standing in the back w/her hair down and she's wearing the black dress. Have stumbled upon quite a few variations w/Bond in the same pose, but that one is my favorite by far.

Personally, I hope that is the sleeve used in Region 1. The UE's are better than the first set but they're still not great. And anything, ANYTHING is better than the dreaded 'floating heads' with critics quotes that ruin so many DVD covers.
I say, lob the poster on and have done with it. I'm buying the sodding thing, I don't need to know who's in it or what Zoo magazine thought of it. ![]() Swedish Murder Machine
I gotta admit I always wanted to get Edgar Allan Poe in a headlock. That thing is like a pumpkin! Oh yeah, the pain. It's not so bad. I hacked up some blood a couple of minutes ago and there was this pink chunk about the size of, uh... one of those little kiwifruit, but I don't feel anything missing, so I'm not too worried. |

Will be interesting to see how close (or how different) the Region 1 cover is to that one.

Where is it said that this is official?
And I highly doubt that this will be the R1 cover since we didn't get this poster or anything. ![]() ![]() "Jack Wade, CIA." Bond's American contact 1995-1997 |

I agree it seems a little bland. I always thought the special edition or ultimate edition styles were out of the question anyways (the SE design is about 8 years old anyway, and I get the impression the ultimate edition range will only stretch to the existing "classic bond" collection - ie not including this new incarnation / the reboot.)
so ultimatly I expected a very unique and sony incfluenced design, and infact suspected a port from a poster, but this poster (and the DVD cover they made from it) is easily the ugly sister of the group, now if they'd used the teaser with Craig sat at the poker table with his PPK it would be a completely different story This post has been edited by shady ginzo: 10 January 2007 - 20:18 |

now if they'd used the teaser with Craig sat at the poker table with his PPK it would be a completely different story Agreed. The advertisement for the Blu-Ray version of Casino Royale that someone posted a few weeks ago that featured the teaser-poster artwork looked very good. I think that it looked much better as a DVD/Blu-Ray cover than this artwork does. ![]() ![]() |
