hmm, two movies with very different style of visual effects. casino royale tried to make things look as realistic as possible while superman returns tried to make things look amazing. both deserve to be nominated in my opinion as both succeeded as opposed to pirates of the caribbean which had several effects, especially at the end, that simply looked fake to me

Awesome. I'm very happy Casino Royale won. It's nice to see a film win when the majority of it's effects were invisible to most viewers.
