....i saw the programme this evening, another notch in the
belt for DC and CR, to be named as the top film of 2006 in the UK, by the cinema going public. Its not a surprise though is it!! |

I was pleasantly surprised by this result. I was watching the countdown of the Top Five movies, and once it got down to #1, the pessimist within me was predicting THE DEPARTED or BORAT to win. Just goes to show what a great success CASINO ROYALE has been this year. The popularity has been amazing.

Haven't been around much but couldn't see much mention of this- Casino Royale was named 'Film of the Year' in a poll shown on the BBC's 'Film 2006 with Jonathan Ross' programme last night. There's no mention on the official site yet, but it was up there.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/films/film2006/ This is a poll voted by users of that site, and although last year that meant that 'Serenity' won the title (?), it's no bad thing I think. |
