That is really good.

Between 1994 and 2005 songs never climbed on the UK charts - they normally debuted at their highest position - including every Number One.

However, now they include downloads, and so some records climb the chart and it's great to see "You know my name" become a Top Tenner!

Indeed. Seems that the Brosnan era Bond songs (with the exception of Madonna's Die Another Day) always got stuck around the #10 area.

Cool. I really like the song. Nice to have a male singer again.

Yes, you're right Qwerty:-

Goldeneye - 10
Tomorrow Never Dies - 12
The World is not Enough - 11
Die Another Day - 3 (this is also the 2nd best Bond chart position, after A View to a Kill got to No. 2 in 1985).

And now You know my name reaches No. 7, and could yet climb again....

Well, this week is the biggest week of the year, in the UK singles chart, so it may go down again, as everyone is battling for the coveted Christmas Number One spot. However, the following 2 weeks are the quietest, and so the song may jump back up higher, although most of the chart remains almost the same for those 2 weeks.

I was in Virgin at the weekend and You Know My Name was a very respectable #3 on their charts.

Why have I not heard the song on the radio here in the US? It's an excellent song.

Haven't heard it at all either. I would have thought it'd be on the same stations as I heard Madonna's Die Another Day.

Well it is certainly consistent. How long did the first three Brosnan Bond songs remain at/around their spots on the UK charts?

Goldeneye lasted only a week or two in the top ten, and lasted 9 weeks in the chart in total, while TND and TWINE lasted 6 or 7 weeks in the charts in total, so it will better those.

However, YKNM is in the charts at a good but quiet time now, where almost all singles remain static or move up or down a bit, as nobody is buying singles in the first 2 weeks in January.
