Casino Royale's Bond girl dress is bestseller

Jenny Packham is the fashion designer du jour after creating one of the most popular dresses ever featured in a James Bond film.

The coral silk, cowel necked sheath dress featuring in Casino Royale at the moment has fast become her most bestselling style. It was designed with real women in mind and therefore features a flattering bias cut and straps which pull in all the right places.

She says she has been inundated with fans around the world inquiring about the dress, which was worn by Bond girl Caterina Murino in the film.

Ms Packham said: "There seems to be a bit of a global obsession with the dress as women from Los Angeles to Japan are contacting our headquarters to try and get hold of it.

"Just like every man wants to be James Bond, clearly every woman wants to be a Bond girl!"

This isn't the first Bond girl who has donned a Jenny Packham design because she also created the Swarovski diamond covered, blue dress as seen in 2002's Die Another Day.

Ms Packham says she enjoys designing for the screen beauties because they tend to be sexy but also strong women, which is a "nice combination".

I can't say I'm surprised by this.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a more attractive combination of woman and garment.

I'd sure like to put my wife in that dress, just so I could take her out of it, lol.

Touche' Dr., touche'. But, I'm lucky to say that my wife is strictly a one-Bond kind of gal. But I can't figure out how my son looks so much like the milkman.

The costume design in this film was outstanding. Green's Vesper is a definite standout in this category.

Like many have said here at the forums, and I'll repeat them once again, Vesper in that purple dress is one of the best Bond-girl scenes of all time.

I've said elsewhere that I think she was either literally poured into that dress or they assembled it on her! I've never seen a more precarious fit, she was about 3 seconds from something or another spilling out, which probably wouldn't have gotten many complaints actually wink.gif

I totally agree to this one... I'm after that dress like crazy cuz I want it for my prom!!! (The prom will be James Bond theme since I have pressured entire grade and somehow gotten all the guys to agree while most girls are against it.)

Solange's dress is gorgeous too... but Vesper's purple one! *dies*

I don't think Solange's dress is wearable by the average girl (unless you are an average girl with that body.. which isn't at all average).. Vesper's gown could be worn by a lot of different-sized and shaped women and still look amazing smile.gif

Yeah, Solange's dress I wouldn't be able to pull of for the life of me...

Vesper's black one wouldn't be too hard but I don't want to deal w/black cuz that's what I usually have for formal occassions. However, her purple one has one HUGE problem - where in teh world do you find a bra that doesn't show up in teh back?

Here's a lovely photo of the dress, btw.
