Click on the following attachments to view both images of the Robert McGinnis Hollywood Edition James Bond art prints

The quality of these attached files of my own is lacking--the real art prints are absolutely magnificent looking.

excellent artwork! mcguinnis is a legend in the commercial art world
though he was retired from this type of medium (he only painted western art)I wish art directors today would choose this type of art for the new posters or at least a variant version or teaser
the last time that this happened was in 1987 for the living daylights

Believe that you are confusing Robert McGinnis with Frank McCarthy. Frank is the one who retired from the commercial art world to do western art. Yes, Robert has also retired from the commercial art world. He has done some western artwork but he has also done many paintings of women, and other non-western paintings.
Frank lived in Sedona, Arizona, and unfortunately, has passed away. Robert lives in Old Greenwich, Connecticut. Both have been friends of mine for sometime.

Was Frank the one who did 007 in little Nellie for YOLT? Also what happened to the original paintings these artists did?

Yes, Frank did the artwork for little nellie for the You Only Live Twice poster. He also did the volcano artwork with Bond walking almost vertically on the rim/side of the volcano.

Some of the original artwork for these posters was disgarded but luckly, some of the originals do show up in auctions. I had the transparency, which Frank gave to me, for the You Only Live Twice volcano artwork restored and have a print (approx. 30 inches by 40 inches) that could be considered a giclee print. He signed it for me and as such, it is the only perfectly printed print of this artwork. Whether or not the original painting still exists, I don't know.

These are sharp looking art prints. I especially like the one of Connery.

Just found out that one of McGinnis's original pieces from Thunderball went up for auction at profiles in History last week. Don't know what it sold for yet. The estimate was above $20,000.00.

Those Thunderball pieces definitely seem to be prized among collectors.
