I'm intrigued by the idea of Bond still "moving forward" to quote Barbara Broccoli. This perhaps means that Bond may still have his flaws and demons which need to be put to rest in BOND 22. May make interesting viewing.

I'm not that bothered about the pre-recorded message thing. Although it would certainly be a powerful moment, you can't say it hasn't been done in films before. I'm glad they're carrying on with a simlar tone and style to CR though.

Hmm, they sat down and talked to Pierce about his not being Bond anymore and being ok with it? I must have missed something somewhere because that's not the way we heard about it for nearly a year. Someone's lying.

Speaking of moving forward....am I the only person who got the impression that part of the reason that Bond will be going after the organisation in the next film is out of revenge, in that they drove Vesper to suicide? I mean it's clear he wasn't pleased that she deceived him. But he still felt something for her. Vesper is far different from Elektra (TWISNE), she betrayed Bond because she had to not because she wanted to.
Another thing. I hope they continue along the trajectory that they did with this movie. And do not turn (Craig's)Bond into a the character we've seen over the last 40 years. I don't mind Craig's Bond getting smarter. But I want him to remain human and a flesh and blood human being. As opposed to a Superman. And I certainly don't want to see him turned into the lothario that Connery played, who could barely keep his fly zipped and seemed ready to screw every woman in sight. ![]() Queens conquer

Someone's lying. My bet would be on the histrionic, Turretts-like, can't-make-up-my-mind-if-I'm-done-with-the-series-or-want-back-in, first-I-damn-Craig-then-I-praise-him guy...but that's just me. Agree with Emma's comments about keeping Bond how they've got him going in CR, he's much more real and therefore approachable and identifiable that way IMO. And I also see revenge figuring into Bond 22, hopefully more than it did in DAF...in fact they could put a bunch in and make up for DAF and I'd be fine with that. |

Absolutely... they have definitely set up the whole idea of "The Organisation", and Bond will certainly have both professional and personal reasons for going after them. I really hope Eon don't drop the ball on this one, as they've introduced the idea of an evil network, like SPECTRE in a way, but obviously modernised and believable (in the context of a James Bond film They need to cast a good actor as someone high up in The Organisation (I quite like that name) for Bond to go after! It's a mouth-watering prospect. |

The other thing that sticks out is how sure-minded Babs is about everything: Craig, Eva, the reboot. It's what's been missing from the series since the 60s IMO, a strong vision of what Bond should be.
Go Babs! |

I'm pretty ignorant about the Eon side of things I must say... what's Babs' role been in the past? Has Babs suddenly come to the fore? |

I think that the lothario honour would have to go to LazenbyBond @ Piz Gloria and MooreBond in AVTAK... 1..Blondie in iceberg sub, 2..May Day (ugghh! LOL) 3..Paola Ivanova 4..Stacy (ummmm!) Dirty old man. One review mentioned that CraigBond seems to be the least sex crazed of the lot. |

Wilson) have produced every film since GE, I think Dana Broccoli (the mother) still had a lot of control and say over things. She was speaking for Cubby. With Dana's death, the series now belongs entirely to the “kids”, and I feel like they are now doing things they always wanted to do -- the origin story being the most obvious example. Michael wanted to do it as far back at 86, but Cubby always nixed it. ![]() |

I've always thought of the Brosnan Bonds as Cubby's last gasp (for better or worse...and no disrespect intended, he had a vision and followed it). But really like the breath of (comparatively) fresh air that Babs is bringing to the series.
