I think they should stick to having a male lead vocal for Bond 22. It would definitely set Craig's run apart from the others.
My choices? U2, The Rolling Stones, Oasis Maybe I'm ten years too late on some of these choices, but a] I just thought I'd get the ball rolling on this thread, b] I think these three groups could give the aggressive kind of song that would match the tone of the new series, and c] well, I like 'em (or at least I've liked their past work). [Hell, if Oasis contributed an alternate, ending title song, I'd be happy] Oh, and maybe Arnold and company could start working on it NOW. Sure, "You Know My Name" eventually caught on, but I'm still waiting for that truly great Bond song that unites Bond fandom (if that's even possible). |

I have no idea with what we'd end up with, but I reckon the Red Hot Chili Peppers should have a shot.

Depeche Mode. Big in America yet a British band, they're blokes and sound great - what else is there to say...? Exactly!

I think that (drumroll, please) the title should be Non vocal. I love the song when they don't have vocals. A couple sound better with the words, I am not going to lie, (You know My Name, Goldfinger, Living Daylights, etc.)
but have you listened to FRWL or We have all the time in the world without words? See what I mean? darthbond ![]() Awfully sorry to trouble you chaps. - Ian Fleming

And YES, the Scissor Sisters new video is superb. It's a tad familiar, isn't it? (!). Now, may I return the compliment on your excellent taste, Zorin Industries. Yes, a trifle familiar. BTW, Depeche Mode would also be an excellent choice for Bond. Their chief songwriter, Martin Gore, is a big John Barry fan and they are a global yet credible band. How about Massive Attack with Liz Frazer on vocals? Anyone here heard their song "Teardrop"? Or is that a little too non-mainstream for Bond?

How about Prince or George Michael?
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just kidding! That would be like having Madonna do a title song! Depeche Mode does sound like an interesting choice. Cool. Dark. Moody. Interesting Idea Oh, one more thought. It would be cool if (whoever does it) the Bond theme could be hinted at in the title song (like in GF, TB, etc.) Regards ![]() WHY "DADDY BOND"? BECAUSE GOD HAS BLESSED ME WITH LOTS OF KIDS. . .005 OF THEM!
