For some reason I get very upset about them cutting anything. LOL
I never thought they'd completely cut the torture - there are ways to neutralise it without removing it altogether. The problem is the movie getting watered down to suit some silly censors. ![]() ![]() |

Usually on the BBFC site it tells you if they cut anything, but I can't find the update about the decision on their site yet

Sony probably received the news unofficially, or the BBFC's website is a bit slow.

Think a 12A was to be expected really, and as long as they haven't cut any of the torture scene I'm sure I shall be quite happy. They can get away with quite a lot in 12A movies these days.

I expected the 12A rating for the film. The Bourne films tend to be pretty badass and they only get 12 ratings.
Interesting that there's no mention of sex and nudity in the rating info. I wonder though whether we'll end up with a stronger 15-rated version on DVD at some point to join Licence to Kill, GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies. Additional 'Director's cuts' 'Unrated versions' and 'Special/Ultimate Editions' seem to be a standard requirement of any movie release these days! According to the BBFC website, the BBFC gave classification decisions to seven films on Friday 27 October; Casino Royale was not in that list.
15 days till the World Premiere & still no classification decision, despite the Odeon website & the Sony Pictures Casino Royale website stating the film is a 12A. |
