Hi there just a quick introduction, my name is Daniel and I work for The Propstore Of London. I thought some of you Bond fans maybe interested in the following press release.
**********Press Release********** The Propstore of London is proud to announce the sale of a weapons archive of screen icon James Bond. Working in association with the armourers that have been providing the guns to EON productions for over 40 years Propstore is delighted to be able to offer the guns and weapons used by James Bond, attractive “Bond girls”, the evil villains and expendable henchmen on screen in over 20 Bond movies. This incredible archive includes a complete history of Bond’s guns from Sean Connery’s Walther PP used in Dr. No through to the modern Walther P99 used in Die Another Day by Pierce Brosnan. Other highlights include Roger Moore’s Walther P5 from Octopussy, Timothy Dalton’s WA2000 sniper rifle from The Living Daylights, Tanaka’s Gyro Jet gun from You Only Live Twice, Nick Nack’s Derringer from The Man with the Golden Gun and the huge “Tankbuster” gun from Die Another Day. These weapons have now been decommissioned to UK legal requirements after being part of England’s most extensive movie armoury. The Prop Store of London has become recognised as one of the worlds leading vendors of this form of memorabilia. Movie props and costumes are now becoming recognised as their own form of art 'Prop Art', recognition for the highly talented and unnamed artisans who work within the film industry. The Prop Store of London comprises of a dedicated team striving to locate, research and present to collectors around the world these highly sought after collectibles, with over 2500 items on their website www.propstore.com with rare props and costumes being added on a daily basis. Other rare Bond memorabilia will also be offered in the sale including previously unpublished photos of Ursula Andress from Dr No, a variety of hand props and crew items. These amazing pieces of history will be auctioned off at Christies in London on December 5th 2006. This sale offers Bond collectors and movie fans an unprecedented opportunity to acquire a piece of cinematic history For additional information regarding the sale or specific items in the sale please contact Stephen Lane on (+ 44) 01494 766485 or via email: stephen@propstore.com Images available upon request. ************ In no way is this ment to be spam or classed as advertising I just thought this would be of interest to you. If this is in what you would class as the wrong section please move Many thanks for you time Daniel |

That also happens to be my birthday. If anyone out there wants to get something for me from the auction, I won't mind.

You know...I always thought Timothy Dalton's sniper rifle from TLD would look great next to my lava lamp.

is there a way to bid online? (i'm assuming there isn't but y'know I figured I'd ask) Try their home page at http://www.christies.com and have a look around. Or go direct to the December calendar page http://www.christies.com/auction/calendar/...6&location= At the moment there is no option to view the sale items, but I'm sure that a little nearer the date hey will have all the items listed. For making online bids you will have to open an account with them. There is one thing that confuses me about the Propstore of London selling these items, is that I thought the weaponry supplied to the Bond films was by Bapty Ltd, or is it one-in-the-same? |
