QUOTE Little Britain star to host Bond tribute David Walliams is to front an hour-long ITV1 show about his passion for James Bond. The comic, who will be defecting from Little Britain’s BBC home to make the programme, says he has been obsessed with 007 since he was six. And in My Life With James Bond, he will meet other celebrity fans, recall his favourite Bond moments and look at the stunts, the machines and the girls. He said: ‘Ever since I saw The Spy Who Loved Me at the age of six, I have been obsessed. 'Unfortunately I have never been asked to play James Bond, but I have been asked to present this new documentary. I promise not to camp it up. Too much.’ The programme, which will air later this year, will be made by Unique Television with the full co-operation of Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson. Executive producer Michael Leggo said: ‘It will be sharing David's enthusiasm – and we think it will be blooming funny." ITV has already secured the first TV rights to the latest Bond movie Casino Royale, due to be released in cinemas in November. It could be broadcast as early as the end of 2007 Walliams takes on 007 |

Walliams would be a great pick for Bond, in my opinion. He can act - he was great in ATTACHMENTS.

I would hope we would get it here in Australia but I doubt it. I love Little Britain.
I was thinking it was about time for some Bond stuff on British TV. It normally goes Bond-crazy before a new movie release. I miss it...

Heh well from a photo he certainly looks the part, but I think he would be so camp as to make Roger Moore look like Timothy Dalton I'm one of the seven or so people in the USA who watches Little Britain, but the only 'serious' thing I've seen David in was an episode of Hustle, and he was pretty camp in that! There'd be just too many weird associations if he played Bond, I'd spend the whole film expecting him to ask for "Bitty" instead of a vodka martini.But on the plus side, he could star in it, write the feem tune, sing the feem tune...  |
