Nothing Earth shattering, but still cool.

Nice. Some inaccuracies, though. News to me that Martin Campbell directed DIE ANOTHER DAY, that Lazenby was "unceremoniously ousted" from the Bond role, and that 007 "gets dumped by a 'Bond girl'" in CASINO ROYALE (however, if this is not the reference to Vesper I assume it to be, then for all I know it may be something that does indeed happen in the film). Still, a nice, positive article.

Yeah, there are some pretty careless bloopers in the article. But it did have a few new quotes (new to me at least) from DC. Anything new is cool; a nice little break from the workday.

There's also an Infamous article up on Yahoo today - http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060831/film_n...enice_capote_dc
Craig is mentioned briefly, with a "KISSING JAMES BOND" section. ![]() "One day, and he accepted the fact, he would be brought to his knees by love or by luck. When that happened he knew he too would be branded with the deadly question-mark he recognized so often in others, the promise to pay before you have lost: the acceptance of fallibility." -Casino Royale, by Ian Fleming

He isn't a rookie agent, he's a "rookie" 00 agent, he's been an agent for 8 years before Sh! You're going to ruin the day of everybody complaining that he's not 25. ![]() AWARD FOR NERDIEST FAN FICTION: In Jacques Stewart's magnum opus Just Another Kill, Bond contemplates eating his victim: "Meat. All the man was. All the man would be. Lowering his right eye (?) to the greased rim of the sniper's glass, James Bond rationalised, so far as he needed to, that meat was all that the man, still standing on the shoreline, had ever been." And it goes ON! Thanks Jacques Stewart, you meathead!

He doesn't look very rookie in the trailer. I, frankly, can't tell from that that whether he's been a 00 for two days or two decades.

I'm a Dan Craig fan but he repeatedly says stupid things in interviews that I find somewhat condescending to Bond and the franchise.
When asked what the coolest thing about playing Bond was, what is his reply? The women? The cars? The exotic locales? How about none of the above. For him the coolest part was finishing filming. What the hell is his problem? This post has been edited by SeanSean: 1 September 2006 - 02:45 |

What the hell is his problem? I didn't take it as something to get upset about. Upon first reading it, it sounded a bit weird, but I think it's a case of something said that can't be put across the way it's meant to when spoken. If that made any sense. I hope so. ![]() |

When asked what the coolest thing about playing Bond was, what is his reply? The women? The cars? The exotic locales? How about none of the above. For him the coolest part was finishing filming. What the hell is his problem? He didn't say it quite like that so you're only speculating that was what he meant. Besides, even if he did mean it like that then it's not such a bad thing IMO. If you had the negative press that he had, finishing probably would be the best part. So much pressure and it would be, as he says, "tough." Not easy. Sucks to be judged by so many before ever being seen in the role. ![]() ![]() |
