[sub]Including an ultra-cool caricature of Craig as Bond[/sub]

The latest issue of Rolling Stone has a list of fifteen movies that "are primed to kick up an unusually exciting battle" during the fall/Oscar season.

9 - Casino Royale
Daniel Craig, Eva Green

You must be up to your ears already reading about how Pierce Brosnan got pushed aside so that a younger actor (Daniel Craig, 38) could step into the role of James Bond. Internet geeks came down hard on Craig's toned butt. I might have joined them if Craig didn't have the acting chops to bust some new moves. He does. Check out Layer Cake or Road to Perdition if you don't believe me. Plus, the idea of doing James Bond: The Early Years sounds promising. If Casino Royale turns out to be the stripped down, badass Bond they're promising, it might be the best news since Sean Connery played it first and for the ages. Eva Green and Caterina Murino are on Bond-girl duty. Luckily, some things never change.

A picture of Solange on top of Bond is next to the preview but the best part of the whole thing is the first page of the preview. It has caricatures of Sacha Baron Cohen, Daniel Craig, Beyonce, and Jack Nicholson as their respective characters. Bond has a tuxedo, a silenced gun, a cigarette in his hand, and black hair with the famous comma! The drawing is amazing and is a must have for every Bond fan! Rolling Stone isn't even that good (I have a free ten issue subcription) but Issue 1008 with Bob Dylan on the cover is a must have!

The issue also has a preview of Audioslave's new album, Revelations, which comes out on September 5, 2006. Go Chris Cornell!

Sounds like the build up continues positively. Could we really be in for the best Bond film of the last couple of decades? Dare we hope?

Me neither.

Sorry but I'd have to hook up my scanner and I don't have the time for that right now but since you two asked so nicely I'll make time to do it later tonight.

Rolling Stone brings the whole Brosnan/Craig discussion down to the point! Good to read that!

I thought that the writer had seen the film. It's just more of the same old fallacious argument that basically argues that Craig is a good actor, ergo he will be a good James Bond. So what? Dustin Hoffman and Paccino are good actors too. Does that mean they should play Bond?

Come on CBN can't you post reviews from people who have actually seen the film? Instead of the same old non-sense from writers whose only reason for liking Craig is because he's ugly and he can act.

Not seeing it hasn't stopped you, has it.

It's called a PRE-VIEW, genius.

AWARD FOR NERDIEST FAN FICTION: In Jacques Stewart's magnum opus Just Another Kill, Bond contemplates eating his victim: "Meat. All the man was. All the man would be. Lowering his right eye (?) to the greased rim of the sniper's glass, James Bond rationalised, so far as he needed to, that meat was all that the man, still standing on the shoreline, had ever been." And it goes ON! Thanks Jacques Stewart, you meathead!
