> Pinewood Studios Fire, Pinewood Given The 'OK' To Rebuild 007 Stage
Vauxhall

Now on the CBn main page...

[sub]Eight fire engines tackle the blaze[/sub]

[sub]Cause of fire yet to be confirmed[/sub]

[sub]Pinewood Studios Fire[/sub]

[sub]Cause of fire still to be determined[/sub]

[sub]Construction expected to be completed in early 2007[/sub]

Not sure where to put this (but move this if needs be), but I suppose it's still just about relevant to CASINO ROYALE. There's a massive fire at Pinewood Studios, and the 007 stage is ablaze. More information here:

That's awful, I sure hope that isn't where they store all the completed film.

Vesper: "It doesn't bother you, killing those people?"
Bond: "Well I wouldn't be very good at my job if it did."

BBC News 24 trailed it, but the Middle East is getting all the air time at the moment, as is Sky.

Jeez I hope not! eek.gif Hopefully they take precautions for that sort of thing, but I suppose time will tell.

I've just seen pictures from a helicopter flying over Pinewood on BBC News 24 in the UK, and the roof looks absolutely mangled, as if it's caved in. Still appears to be a fair amount of smoke rising.

How will this set back production of Bond 22?

Latest news is that there were two loud bangs, but people in the area thought it was just a normal stunt from filming. The smoke could be seen from about 10 miles away as well. Apparently they were de-rigging the set at the time, and no filming was taking place. Black plumes of smoke still rising from the 007 Stage, but it appears to be dying down.

Horrible news for Pinewood, but hopefully will have minimal effect on CR as it is in post-production (or at least I certainly hope so!)...

But today is the thirteenth...

Casino Royale should be fine, it's safe in post production by now.

And as for Pinewood.... "The insurance company is *never* going to believe this!"

Good that no one was hurt and that the film has wrapped already.

Man you'd think after the last time it burnt to the ground that they'd keep all the flammable materials as far away as possible from the 007 Stage.

"Nimsworth, your description of GoldenEye as Octopussy for the 90s is an insult to Octopussy AND the 90s!"
