“James Bond is original, cool and sophisticated – just like an airline I know, Virgin Atlantic is delighted to be a global partner of the new James Bond movie, Casino Royale, and I’m just a little excited to be playing a cameo in the film. Having met Daniel Craig and the rest of the team on set, I have no doubt that Casino Royale will be one of the most successful James Bond films ever.”

Am I wrong to find Sir Richard Branson the least offensive uber-wealthy CEO in the world?

Even if I am, I like him.

Sir Richard Branson is the man, a knight, and an adventurer whose own stunts rival 007. What's not to like here?

That he's Gustav Graves?

Further publicity - all sound.

Some very interesting links from that page, particularly those dealing with the public comments on Daniel Craig.

Well, this doesn't exactly sound 'gritty'. Is he a variation on the 'amazing drinking man'?

Is this a first for the series, a famous person playing himself? Think it might be.

Depends if Oliver Skeete was playing a down-on-his-luck showjumper earning some quick cash from being a footman.

Some years ago I was in Los Angeles attending the premier of Robin Hood (Costner has the worst accent EVER). During the film the man sitting to my right offered me a swipe of popcorn from time to time and even asked if I wanted a drink. I thanked him and actually went and got him a drink from the caterer. At the after party I asked someone who the man was. It was Richard Branson, a very nice person.

Roger Moore?

But seriously:-

At one stage there was a plan for Branson to be seen near the Balloon and the Millennium Dome in TWINE, I think one draft of the script even mentions him by name.
